CSA TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND RELATED PERFORMANCE OF FUEL-BURNING APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT

Martin Miles, the chair of HPBAC's Government Affairs Committee, and I are both voting members on this extremely important CSA Technical Committee. This Committee sets the terms of reference for both efficiency standards such as P.4 for Gas Fireplaces as well as performance standards such as B415 for wood burning equipment. The next TC committee meeting is scheduled for this coming Friday January 14th. We shall both be attending.

HPBAC to meet with the Summerhill Group

Next week, Craig Gutowski, Andrew Vickers and I, together with representatives from the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, will be meeting with the Summerhill group (formally the Clean Air Foundation) at their offices in Toronto.
On the agenda is a brainstorming session on how we may fund and operate a wood burning appliance change out program in Ontario later this year.
More information on Summerhill can be found at summerhillgroup.ca
